Marketers have often listed “FREE” at the top of the lists of most compelling selling words.
Free is powerful for another reason… savvy users will always be looking for the lowest cost option (preferably free).
I know this for myself.
I am always looking for free alternatives or lower cost options and almost always find them.
So, as a strategy I think it makes sense for businesses to give their products away.
